We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Data Scientist to join our client ´s team. As a Data Scientist, you will leverage data to drive insights, solve complex problems, and support data-driven decision making. If you have a strong analytical mindset, expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning, and a passion for extracting meaningful insights from data, this is an exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities where data science can provide valuable insights
- Gather, preprocess, and analyze structured and unstructured data from various sources to extract actionable insights
- Apply statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques to develop accurate and robust models
- Design and implement experiments, hypothesis tests, and A/B tests to support data-driven decision making
- Develop and deploy machine learning models into production systems or applications
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability, reliability, and quality of data for modeling and analysis
- Create compelling visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and identify opportunities to apply them in the organization
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track business performance
- Continuously evaluate and improve the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of data science models and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data preprocessing techniques
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex and unstructured data sets
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks is advantageous
- German B2 / English B2 level
