For one of our client based in Geneva, we are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Engineer (M/W)
Missions :
- Oversee the operation, organization, and management of datacenter rooms, ensuring optimal environmental conditions, security, and efficiency.
- Responsible for the integration, maintenance, and support of datacenter hardware, including lifecycle management from procurement to decommissioning : Management and support SAN systems ; Administering Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) system, GPUs, and VMWare infrastructure (vCenter, ESX), Utilizing CommVault for comprehensive data protection strategies ; Managing Block, Objects and Files systems to support scalable storage solutions and content management.
- Provide expert-level support and maintenance for critical IT stacks, ensuring their reliability, performance, and alignment with organizational needs and security standards.
- Identifies opportunities for the use of new tools, methods, or technologies to enhance infrastructure operations. Proposes solutions for the integration of modern infrastructure elements such as cloud services, virtualization, containerization, and automation. The current studies concern Bare-Metal OpenShift, alternatives to VMware virtualization and HCI platforms.
Profile:
- University degree in technical field along with minimum of 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong background in data center operations and hybrid cloud environments. Proven track record of managing data center resources and integrating hybrid cloud solutions.
- Solid understanding of data center technologies (e.g., SAN, Cisco UCS, VMware), backup and disaster recovery technologies, and hybrid cloud models. Knowledge of system standard updates, and hardware maintenance procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, integrity, and professional development. Availability to work outside business hours or on weekends as required by operational needs.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in cloud computing, data center management, or related fields.
- A track record of proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and operations.
- Experience in agile methodology (SCRUM, Kanban) using TFS/Azure DevOps.
- Fluent in French and English
