Data Analyst - Chemicals
We are looking for an ambitious data analyst passionate about sustainability and data-driven business.
EmploymentIn this role, you’ll work on a cross-functional team and interact with users and data providers to develop and expand the chemical sector of the ecoinvent database. Our Data Analysts play a pivotal part in making environmental data more accessible, directly contributing to our mission of promoting sustainability and facilitating informed decision-making worldwide.
The ideal candidate brings strong critical thinking skills and a problem-solving attitude. You are proactive, structured, and organized, providing mathematical aptitude and sound judgment. You are enthusiastic about learning and pushing for innovation. You will work with collaborators of mixed backgrounds, so good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and a can-do attitude are essential. Managing numerous diverse tasks at the same time does not phase you.
- Provide technical support in various projects to improve and develop the database by supporting its core structure and expanding its coverage.
- Interact with external stakeholders, such as data providers, to guide them through the data preparation and submission process.
- Support the communication efforts of ecoinvent, reinforcing the support to users of the ecoinvent database.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Coding skills in Python
- Experience with process flows
- Experience in LCA, practical or theoretical, is a plus
